One More Thing

The first interview of the Season is about the author of the Weather Warrior Daily and Weekend League founder, Andrew Terry! Andrew is from Raleigh, NC, and is going to NC State University for meteorology, but hopes to eventually get his Master’s Degree in Emergency Management. Andrew is also an Eagle Scout, which he achieved in July 2018.

There were several events that got Andrew into weather, but most notable to him was the April 16, 2013 tornado outbreak through Central and Eastern North Carolina. A tornado passed right through downtown Raleigh, and watching his local news coverage was fascinating. His favorite part of weather is weather communication, and seeing how people interact with the different products and services that the National Weather Service puts out.

If Andrew had to collaborate on a forecast with two other meteorologists, he would ask Raleigh meteorology legend Greg Fishel and Birmingham meteorologist James Spann to accompany him. There would be plenty of stories shared, and he would be interested to see what they thought the future of meteorology held.

If you have any ideas for future “One More Thing” segments or wish to be the next interviewee, please contact Andrew Terry on Twitter @aterrywx, or via email at adterry@ncsu.edu
