Getting Started
-
All players must have a registered username and code in order to pick. If you do not have a registered username, please fill out the sign up form on the login.
-
You lock in a pick for each day, for one location, using the form on the site. You can also lock in picks farther than 24 hours out.
-
You can use the same pick multiple times a season. There's no limit as to how many times you can pick a certain city!
-
You do not need to pick every day, but there are rewards for picking more.
-
You may only pick one location per day per competition (more on that later).
-
Picks are due by either 11:59 PM Local Time or 11:59 Eastern Time, whichever is earlier
Season Length, Individual Standings, and Other Information
-
The season runs for 13 weeks.
-
An individual score is based upon your weekly standing at the end of each of the 13 weeks of the season.
-
To make picks, you must log in to the website and fill out the “Make Picks Here” form.
-
You will enter your username, numerical code, and city.
-
For the city, please enter the city name and the provided code.
-
For example, “Avoca, PA (KAVP)”
-
If your entry is not formatted correctly, administration will contact you.

-
There are two parts to the full Weather Warrior Experience. They are the “Full (Individual) Game,” and “Champions League.” The differences between these will be discussed in greater detail later in this document.
Locations
-
There will be over 1,300 full time locations in use for the full game and Champions League.
-
About 600 of these locations use a National Weather Service Daily Climate (CLI) report. These calculate degree days, highest wind gust, and precipitation values.
-
The remaining 700 locations will use a combination of Mesowest, and Weather Underground
-
These reports contain information about heat index and wind chill. If it is not provided, administration will use the formulas for heat index and wind chill using provided temperature and wind or dew point values.

Locations will be reviewed near the end of each season to review their reliability. If a location is deemed unreliable, it will be removed. Competitors are allowed to request certain stations to fill these gaps.
